The European Central Bank is opening its doors to the public on 29 April. So you can spend an enjoyable day at the Eurotower in Frankfurt. Go on a guided tour and see the conference room where the Governing Council of the ECB makes its interest rate decisions, or visit the Market Operations room and find out how the ECB lends money to banks.
Each year the Cultural Days of the ECB focus on a different Member State of the European Union.
In the autumn months Frankfurt am Main becomes the setting for many high-quality artistic performances, ranging from theatre and dance to music, and hosts exhibitions, documentaries, readings and lectures, as well as events for children.
